My Skills
Strategic Planning: Developed the notional organizational structure for the Marine Corps’ Maritime Prepositioned Force. Creating a uniform model across several maritime prepositioned squadrons allowed for uniform long-term planning, fiscal expenditure alignment, and proper equipment lifespan alignment. Additionally, this notional template, based on real-time forces allowed for future military operations studies and acquisition planning 10-15 years further into the future, than any notional template and associated database at the time.
Customer Service: Improved the throughput of the Louisville, Kentucky, United States Military Entrance Processing Command, by creating an active communication chain related to applicant screening and approval for processing. This newfound efficiency negated the need for weekend operations and helped all recruiting services meet their service specific mission for each fiscal year while serving as Commanding Officer.
Training and Development: Implemented a new selection criteria matrix while serving as head of the logistics education branch, within the Marine Corps Logistics Operations Group and Logistics Center of Excellence. This matrix provided a quantitative selection criterion for logistics education programs and ensured that potential students were a “right fit”, based on needs of the overall enterprise, current, and potential future assignments. Over 200 students were sourced to education programs using this method and program completion rates increased by over 15%.
Team Building: Set the groundwork for a new organization and guided the organization from concept to full operational capability in response to COVID-19 mitigation efforts. Achieved stakeholder buy-in in all critical areas within the Joint Force and Healthcare community to ensure a common operating picture, efficient resource management, organization-wide communication and time-critical action. Testing results were reduced from 96 hours to less than 10 hours and notifications were reduced from eight hours to less than one-hour.
Problem Solving: Operationalized each modular system of unmanned aircraft system of systems to assess operational capability of each system of four air vehicles and related command, launch, and recovery systems. Identified gaps were sourced and overall squadron capability and readiness increased by 30%
Scheduling and Execution: With an enterprise-wide approach, locally and globally sourced all necessary parts and equipment to support flight operations of 12 fighter aircraft while within continental United States and deployed. Through forecasting analytics and proven operational metrics, maintained effective readiness to ensure successful aircrew training and accomplishment of all deliberate taskings during wartime scenarios.
